Gingerbread Houses

I'm finally getting holiday stuff up on my blog! Thanks for getting me motivated Amy!
Here is Leah and Zoe trying to keep their house assembles while decorating. All the little kiddos decided to eat the frosting glue off their houses so we had a few houses falling down.

Friends from our ward came over with their children to decorate! It was a lot of fun! I think Jon really enjoyed eating and decorating!

We were happy to see that Josh wanted to participate!

The white all over Zoe is the glue frosting. I think she had the most fun with the frosting! It even stuck her hair onto her face!

This is Zach's chair....but Savannah had to give it a spin! Ain't she cute?

The finished products...except for the Thompson's. I think they had to leave before we got this picture taken! I miss doing this as an annual event. We will have to do it again next year!

Thanksgiving: Bowling

My sweet Nate! He did so good this year. He got his own bowl out of the ball return each time. He would bowl both right and left handed. It's fun having my boys be old enough to enjoy bowling!

Okay, I took this picture of Mike. I think I did a good job. He looks like a pro, and handsome at the same time....
....and here is the picture Mike took of me! Okay, Okay...he took other pictures of me, but they didn't turn out very well. So you get a picture of my bum...and me bowling one of my many strikes to kick Mike's butt! HA HA!

Here is the actual winner of our bowling day. Brian, Heidi's boyfriend, who beat me by only a mere 10 points and he had his own fancy bowling shoes and his little fancy spin he learned by taking classes. Me..pure talent!

Heidi with her broken (stress fracture) foot..what grace too! Mind you, she didn't miss day after Thanksgiving shopping..she found herself a crutch. Funny!!

Jared did pretty darn good! He could almost go without the bumpers next year!

Joshua literally throws the ball down the alley! It bounces off one bumper to the other side and so on and so on. He's fun to watch!

I just can't get over how big my baby has gotten. Bowling all on his own and actually beating Mike...yep...beat Mike!

Thanksgiving: Turkey Trot

Turkey Trot 2009
Mike actually came this year with the boys and cheered me on. His boss was running the 10K. I wonder if that influenced his desire to come. He's got a great boss! We all stayed after I was done and cheered on him and Heidi.
Go Heidi!

It was just Heidi and me running the turkey trot this year! Heidi did the 10K again and beat her time from last year...yea for Heidi. But she did something weird to her foot. She's always breaking herself at the Turkey Trot.
I did the 2 mile again and my goal was not to walk and I didn't! I did it in about 26 1/2 minutes. I want to do the 10K next year. I am grateful that this year I don't have all my joints and muscles hurting like last year, so I better have 10K results on here next year!

Rag Chenille Blankets...

Yes, I did sew these blankets. Good thing I can hide the mistakes for the pictures. Actually, I am pretty proud of myself and even better, Mike is amazed that I sewed these. These take a lot of sewing, but it was worth it! Thanks Kim for teaching me....over the phone...long distance. You are awesome!

I really like the brown and green! It's fun to sew something that you like!

Red Rocks Anyone?

Hiking up the road from my Grandpa's house! We had lots of fun and Leah's girls were so excited to be out of the car! I didn't have my boys with me, so it was fun to play in the red dirt. Believe me, it's a pain to get out of white boy socks!

I took this picture! I just looked up and it was so beautiful! Mike was quite proud of my photography skills...sometimes I even take better pictures than him!

My brother Paul came to the funeral from Kansas! I had fun with him, but missed seeing Kim and the kiddos! Paul is being a show off! I would have done it to if I had any muscles!

Leah was taking pictures of her girls here, so I thought I would be silly and have a picture of me taken there too! I even did a smize pose, but that picture is only reserved for the people who know what I am talking about...hmmm!

My siblings and me! From oldest to youngest: Left to Right: Dale, me, Jenelle, Cheryl, Paul, Leah and Heidi! I think Paul took all the tall and didn't leave any tall for Leah or Heidi!

Us, being silly...I showed some class..haha! We always get at least one of these pictures in when we are all together.

Grandpa's Funeral

You will be greatly missed Grandpa!!

My brother Dale as one of the Casket Bearers. There were so many grandsons that they took turns. What a neat experience.
Here is my other brother Paul. We were very glad to have all of us siblings there at the funeral!

My Grandpa served in WWII. The ceremony provided by the military.
These men were all grandpa types. I thought that was fun!
They did a 21 gun salute and scared not only me ( I didn't see them there until after the 21 gun salute), but many babies! How would you like to live in the apartments behind the cemetery?
Here are most of the casket bearers!
All the flowers from the casket bearers!

October - Halloween

My three handsome boys! Nate is Cookie Monster. My mom made that costume for Josh when he was that age. Jared is Optimus Prime for those of you out there that either have all girls or who are are not up on Transformers. Josh is "Mr. Smartie Pants." That's what he has taped all over his pants. He doesn't hurt that Josh loves Smarties candies too!
